Hi, I’m a professional local surf instructor at Bali Surf Experience with over 20+ years of hands-on coaching experience and a strong background in local surf competitions.
I’ve helped many surfers — from complete beginners to intermediate riders — catch their first wave, build solid fundamentals, and improve their confidence in the water. My teaching style is patient, friendly, and safety-focused, making every lesson enjoyable and effective.
I speak English and love sharing not only surfing techniques, but also the true surf culture and energy of Bali. Whether it’s your first time on a board or you’re looking to level up your skills, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

We want you to feel confident and ready before you surf. Read through these FAQs to learn more about how it all works.
What should I bring to the surf class?
Bring swimwear, sunscreen, a towel, and water. We provide surfboards, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you have one. Women should dress conservatively before and after being in the boat, as Indonesia is a conservative country. A rash guard or wetsuit is also recommended for sun protection and comfort, we can also provide one, please let me know prior the class.
How long are the surf lessons?
Each lesson lasts approximately 2 hours, including a brief on-land introduction and plenty of time in the water to practice your skills.
Do I need any prior experience?
No prior experience is needed. We welcome complete beginners as well as intermediate surfers looking to improve their skills. Lessons are tailored to your level.
What if the weather is bad?
We monitor ocean and weather conditions closely. If the weather is unsafe for surfing, we will reschedule your lesson for another day or time. Your safety is our top priority, and we’ll ensure you have the best experience possible.
